I finally found condensed milk: it was at National Azabu, an explicitly expat-focused supermarket. The wine person there (an American?) said he had tried to get the market to import apple cider (the American variety: unprocessed pressed apple juice, non-alcoholic) before, but it was too expensive to be worthwhile. (Figures: it needs to be refrigerated, does not keep well, and is heavy.)
